    Russian pigweed is an annual that was introduced from Asia and is now found throughout the U.S.  Russian pigweed has alternate, simple, rough leaves. Flowers are inconspicuous, and greenish  in color. The fruit is generally an enclosed  nut. Peak pollen shed is in summer months.
